ok from always i wanted to see snk games on pc and i am not talking about m.a.m.e or mugen but with nice quality and everything on it besides they could make better profit of it cuz all people in the world dont have home consoles
let me know if any of you guys share my opinion
Just remembered you could give Mugen a try, however keep in mind you'll take a while till you get the version of the game you really want, for instance, I've seen skins of Marvel VS Capcom 2 there, but not exactly the same as the original
I came across a new Doujin fighter recently that might interest people. It's called Yatagarasu. You can read more about it at SRK. There's a download link for a demo in the first post. I'd say its pretty enjoyable with some cool music and nice graphics. Worth a try.
I think the full retail version went on sale at the start of this month. One of the people who worked on the game is 'Styleos' (Toshiyuki Kotani) who worked on Daraku Tenshi, KOF '99, KOF '00, and KOF '01.
This video is showing the demo version which only has 4 characters.

Also I've been trying out a few Korean MS-DOS PC fighting games namely The Hero, Chun Huh Moo Jock and Daehyeoljeon - The Great Fighter. The Hero is pretty awful to be honest but CHMJ is slightly better and at least has some better graphics. The Great Fighter is supposed to be the best of the three but I can't work out how to get it running properly yet.
INTERESTING MERLIN...
Yatamagaseru (or whatever it's called!) looks pretty good I think. I like the art style their going for too. Characters seem decent too, as does the animation and the actual moves themselves (Kicks, Punches etc). BKGDs look uber nice too.
AS FOR THOSE OTHER 2?
to me, they look like a couple of horrible early 32-bit console fighter rejects!! I'd still give 'em a go though

Years ago I played the first game and Re-Act, and I hated them, never really bothered with the series again after that.
But I am kinda now digging it... it is a pretty solid and fun PC fighter. But I still think the characters and presentation could be better... only characters I like are Aoko, Ciel and Sion.

But.
I kinda like Melty Blood now.

SIR TENGU!
don't really know what to say, but there's nothing more painful than eating humble pie, eh? Especially when one is as aggressively and determinedly outspoken as yourself!
HOWEVER...
the very nature of your post proves that (IMO) you are indeed a real man and unlike many PPL in the world, are not just willing to hate for the sake of hating. I say this as I used to be (and in some ways, I'm embarrassed to admit, still am...) the same way. But yeah, considering all the hate you gave the game (and not quietly either!) I really respect your deciding to post such a comment. after all you could have just enjoyed it and kept it to yourself, but chose not to. So what gives?
REGARDING PRESENTATION...
I understand what you mean, but I play all my 128-bit Gen & < on a CRT, so, even though there IS pixellation, it really doesn't bother me at all, especially considering the characters are animated so well. BKGDs are perhaps a bit stale in places too BUT the music is pretty cool.
ANYWAY...
glad your liking MBAC/MBAA (or just AA??). Funnily enough, there ARE certain games I have YOUR issues with r.e. getting PPL locally to play them i.e. if I put 3rd Strike on (another game you hate! or???) or a KOF, Vampire or even JoJo's... they'll play it, no problem BUT if I put MB, AH or even WHseries, it's a no go. Still, if I subject them to it enough EVENTUALLY they will succumb. It worked with KOF...

I agree with what you said Ninja about Yatagarasu. An appealing art style and great looking stages. Very cool music too. I've been playing the demo quite a bit over the last few days and really love the gameplay. The gameplay features parrying like in Third Strike and EX moves. People should definitely check this game out.
Here are a few more MS DOS fighters. I'm not saying these are great games or anything but it's interesting to see some footage of them.

Thanks for the link to the new demo Geesetheduck. I heard there was a new demo available but hadn't managed to find it yet. I wonder when the full game will actually be released. Some people were saying the full game was being released this month but I'm not sure. I wouldn't mind actually buying a copy of the finished game if I can ever find it for sale anywhere.
