Man I had forgotten all about CHaos Engine, that was a great game as I remember it
I spent most of the eighties, most of my life, riding around in somebody else's car, in possession of, or ingested of, something illegal, on my way from something illegal to something illegal with many illegal things happening all around me.
Yea it was awesome. It's really funny when you think that this intro and music was incredibly impressive back then! What the hell was with the random sound effetcs though, like the elephant!

I have heard that Chaos Engine is a very good game. I have never played it unfortunately. Brigand has really been working out his eyebrow muscles - they are very well developed! I remember there was a Choas Engine 2 as well.
I am thinking of buying an Amiga CD32 just to play games like that and Alien Breed and Sensi Soccer. (It won;t cost me much either!)
Project X was also meant to a very nice shooter - but very hard. Apparently when they re-released it on the budget range - they made an easier version.

My eyesight isn't too bad - I didn't used to wear my glasses much - but now I like to see everything thats going on. I have 3 pairs - 2 for going out, and 1 for when I'm at home - it has large lenses old style - but I like not seeing the frames.
I am generally rubbish at putting things in my eyes - but I could try contacts I suppose.

I ordered a hori fighting stick 3. Ign's review says i can't use it with my ps2 games but play-asia customers say they had no problem with ps2 games. Is it because ign review is old and it is playable after ps3 updates? It has usb cord so can i use it on my pc too?

Not sure about it working with the PS3 [ though Im betting it will work just fine ] but I would imagine a Windows PC will see it as a standard HID [ Human Interface Device ] and probably work great.
Either way let us know how it works for ya.

I just realised that reviews on play-asia for ps3 hori sticks are reviews of fighting stick 2. So i can't use it with my ps2 games. I ordered it from a Turkish site and it is cheaper than play-asia.

Hori sticks are lovely. I have one for the PS2, a Soul Calibur one, and it's excellent. I have managed to get it working successfully on my PS3 via a USB convertor, and I played Tekken DR on it just fine. I haven't tried any PS2 games on the PS3 via that stick though...
I got my stick a few days ago and i really like it. The stick isn't like the sticks that i use at arcade for years. First i tought stick was very soft and it has bigger movement space but after a little practise i can pull every move easily. Buttons are very responsive but i think they are very close there should me more space between buttons. It works with ps2 games too even though they say it won't work with ps2 sofware on box. It also works on pc.
I'm very happy with it.

Today there were a very special "little something" in the mail. I got my original taito BUBBLE BOBBLE pcb with a JAMMA adaptor. This is a pcb I have been after for a long time now, another goal in my life has finally come true
This is one of the most expensive pcb:s I have bought
Yup it´s the real deal too

Very nice Priest I guess this is for your Supergun. I really like the little dinosaur on the chip too - very cool
I know Bubble Bobble is a really good game - so many games seem to have copied it too. I haven't played it since the 8-bit days, but I remember it as being a most excellent game

I´m currently playing this in my AWSD cab. the downside with this is that it only has a 1 player controlpanel so I can´t challenge a friend.
What you can do is buy an overlay for the Atomiswave 2 player control panel, get an Egret II or Egret III 2 player control panel and use the overlay to convert it into an Atomiswave 2 player control panel. Those overlays are sold on Ebay...there's one listed on Ebay right now: http://cgi.ebay.c...7C294%3A50
So Egret / Egret 2 cp are 100% compatible wit AWSD cabs?
I've done some searching on an Atomiswave forum and I found out that the Egret 3 control panel can be used for the AWSD cabinet as it's basically an Egret 2 with AW graphics etc.
Egret 3 control panels can be found on some online shops (Highway Entertainment in australia http://www.arcade...-sales.com)...tend to be a bit expensive though around Eur 160 not including shipping costs.
I´ve bought some original arcade game marquee´s recently. I will get them when I go and get my JAMMA converted Neo geo MVS25UP. You may wonder what I´m doing with these marquees. I´m decorating the walls of my gamesroom with them, looks pretty good.
Here they are:
Joust (1982): Great game! and equally great game art:
Sky shark (1987):
1942 (1984):
Gun.Smoke (1985): I don´t know if I have to tell you just how great this game is by far my most favorite game no matter genre or platform. I looooooooooooove this game
The marquee pic is out of sync with the actual colors so I´m also posting a pic of the marquee in a cab, the marquee in this pic is more true to what it actually looks like:
Bubbles (1982): Don´t know much about this game, liked the gamesart though.
Twin cobra (1987):

Very nice Priest. The artwork on those marquee's looks really good. They will look nice on the walls of your game room. I've never heard of Joust, Bubbles or Sky Shark. I've been playing Gunsmoke on the PS2 and it's a pretty fun game except I do find it really tough.
Congrats on buying another cab Priest. I'll look forward to seeing pictures of it.

Thanks!
You´ve never heard of Joust or Sky shark...?! I´m at shock here , Sky shark is one of the earlier vertical shoot´em ups in the same genre as 1942 and 1943 and a true classic. I can advice you to try it if you ever get the chance.
Joust is another classic with you playing the roll of a knight riding a...BIRD. Its your job to take down the other knights and birds by flying into them. A bit like balloon fight for the Nintendo 8 Bit.
Both classics

Priest - you are very lucky to have a games room - one day I want one - with a standup Outrun machine and a Defender cab, and a pinball machine, and a bar! (this may not happen though)
I love Joust too - when I was young I used to play it with a friend (on his computer), and it used to start fights when one of us stole the other's egg. It is a brilliant 2 player game! - great in 1 player too. I'm afraid I haven't heard of Sky Shark though either. Sorry I will have to check it out on youtube.
Great marquees - will we get to see some photos of your games room - when it is fully equipped?
