KOF XII has been delayed yet again in Europe, so PAL fans will have to wait a bit longer unfortunately. This has happened so many times before with Ignitions releases over here, I still wonder why on Earth they can't set a date and stick to it? Personally I imported the game as I had a sneaking suspicion that the date would slip back again...
I grabbed my copy from Ebay for £34 (an Asian version with full English manual and in game text, also playable online), which was a pretty damn good deal. If you prefer to buy from a store, you might want to try Play-Asia.com as the US versions of both the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 versions are region free according to their site, so if you can't wait then you might want to think about importing!
Let's see if they stick to this release date in Europe now... and let's hope that online patch comes out soon!

After many hours of both playing the game since I picked it up a couple of weeks ago and a hell of a lot of writing and gathering of screenshots etc, I have uploaded my review of KOF XII! It's been a HELL of a long time since I last wrote a review (far too long in fact), so I had a lot of fun doing this one! WARNING: Prepare for a long read, but hopefully a good one! Hope you all enjoy reading it, and if you haven't purchased the game yet, I hope it will help you in deciding whether or not to take the plunge (I'm sure most fans will have picked it up already however). Despite any of the shortcomings it may have, I still recommend buying the game, but check out the review itself for more info! :)
I'd also like to point out that there are now four KOF XII MP3's in the SNK Jukebox! It's not the best OST we've ever heard but it's not the worst either... I'd love to add some more tracks to the site, but those were the only ones I could find. If anyone can point me to a few more I would be very appreciative!
I'll have some more updates coming soon. I have a ton of Neo Geo manual scans to add to the download section that were very kindly done by merlin, and now the KOF XII review is out the way (it's taken up a lot of my time) I will be able to get them done. If you haven't looked recently we already have a fair few some manual scans which are very useful if you lost your manual or if you own an MVS cart and would still like to be able to look through them. Check back soon and the rest should be online!!!
One last thing: I have locked the old KOF XII discussion thread as it was getting a bit too long; I have opened a new one and you can find it here! Be sure to head there and discuss the game!

King of Fighters '96 - Game of the Week
Game of the Week again! Surprised its being updated on time? ;3
KOF '96 never really stood out for me, although I do have fun with it! And it also has one of the best OST's in the series. Check it out in the Jukebox!
One thing I did hate was... Goenitz!! He's the one that killed me a lot. >< Check out the discussion thread if you want to rant about it!

World Heroes - Game of the Week
A bit overdue, its World Heroes as GOTW! A bit nostalgic to some, it was the first NeoGeo game for many... Not for me, though. ^^;
I never really was a big fan of it. Although, I could understand the appeal it has. :)
Still holds nostalgia for you? It was rereleased in the World Heroes Anthology, you could grab it there! Hate it? Love it? Join the discussion thread!

I am currently working on my own review of KOF XII, but I did come across a pretty accurate video review of the game that is well worth watching!!! It's on the Angry Joe Show, and while it seems a little bit silly at first (which is intentional), get past the first couple of minutes and it's pretty much spot on in my eyes and he makes some good points! Despite the sillyness, it's definitely one of the more sensible reviews I have seen so far, from someone that has at least some understanding of SNK/KOF.
I have been playing the game all night tonight on the PS3 and I am enjoying it a lot... it's just a shame it is lacking in some areas. The worst thing is that that some of the issues people have could have been fixed quite easily ,especially the lack of game modes. Here's hoping SNK will release a free patch on PSN/Live that will remedy some of this stuff; I am just currently praying that the online patch that is on the way very soon at least fixes that aspect of the game. Anyway, check out the review and see if you agree!

Here is a quick update for those that haven't seen this elsewhere. Ignition Entertainment have posted a message on the official Facebook group for KOF XII, stating the following:
"ONLINE UPDATE: The testing of the update is quickly coming to a end with extremely positive results! We just have to get Microsoft and Sony approvals now but we are targeting to have it available near the end of August. The game has an amazing group of fans and we want you to experience this update as soon as possible. Thanks for being patient everyone and we’ll see you online!"
This is good news for everyone playing KOF XII, because for most of us the online play has definitely left a lot to be desired. It's been unplayable for me personally but with any luck this patch will let me actually have some decent games online!
Blazing Star - Game of the Week
Game of the Week time! I thought it was strange that Blazing Star had a lot of discussion going on, but it wasn't GOTW! Not only that, but its a very good shmup too!
No matter, here it is! ^^
I think its a very good shmup! And criminally overlooked, but let's hear what you guys have to say. ;3

Mutation Nation - Game of the Week
Hello! The eccentric cat here, sorry for the late GOTW! Please bear with me here! ><
But starting today, I will be helping Kaz with Game of the Week, because he's too lazy, right? ;3 So, this week's Game of the Week is... Mutation Nation!
Truth be told, I've never actually played the game, but that's where you guys come in! Join the discussion thread! ^^

Breakers/Breakers Revenge - Game of the Week
Over two months since the last Game of the Week update, but finally we are back! It's been a nightmare to get this posted due to ISP issues (AGAIN!!!) but I managed to take my laptop to a friends house... I did promise afterall! :)
I've combined Breakers and Breakers Revenge into one GotW, as Revenge is just a small update afterall. Either way, they are both great games and it's undoubtedly a series you should try out if you haven't already!
If you would like to discuss this game and check out some media for it including music, video and screenshots, check out the discussion thread, and let us know your thoughts on it!
